Description:  The official piano of the Metropolitan Opera for many years, Knabe was the piano often found in the finest homes in the country due to its musicality and fine cabinetry.  This is a remarkable instrument, made in 1970 in East Rochester, NY, and was purchased new in North Carolina and shipped to Niskayuna NY where it had the honored spot in the living room.  It is in original condition and has great tone and is also a very fine value as we have completely reconditioned this piano, reset tuning pins to insure tuning stability and regulated the action to concert specification.  This is one of the most classically beautiful Baby Grand piano cabinets made.  Moreover, this piano has a large warm tone which has always been the hallmark of Knabe Grands.  This piano was owned by a well-known jazz club owner and has had light use in their home by some of the world's most famous jazz pianists including Dave McKenna, Marian McPartland, Errol Garner, Red Garland and many many more!  Own a piece of jazz history that is in like new condition!
