PIANO: Steinway & Sons, model M, 5’7” Grand Piano & bench, serial # 258304 Finish: Mahogany , finished in a walnut stained polished lacquer – rubbed to a high gloss. Description: Steinway is undoubtedly the piano that all musicians aspire to and some are lucky to own. However, not all Steinway’s are alike. The Steinway factory Golden Years of manufacturing were from the turn of the century through 1929. Some of their finest examples of musicality and craftmanship were built during these years. This piano is from that acknowledged Golden Period of Steinway New York and was built there in 1927. This piano is original and has been completely reconditioned with the exception of the action and cabinet. The action was rebuilt by Rand Reeves, a well-known Upstate NY piano rebuilder, with new hammers, shanks and flanges while retaining the original ivory and ebony keys. The cabinet has been refinished in a medium walnut stain on the mahogany in lacquer rubbed to a high gloss. This piano has a huge tone and produces sound more like its larger brother – the 5’ 10” model L. This is a musicians piano that will grace any living room anywhere.
