Steinway & Sons, model 1098, 46” Studio Upright

PIANO: Steinway & Sons, model 1098, 46”Studio Upright\Bench, serial #412681

Finish: Ebony Satin Finish.

Description: This Steinway Studio Upright Piano, made inSpring of 1969, was caringly maintained and has light use as it was a second piano in this exclusive home in Coxsackie. The first piano is a Steinway model D -- 9’ Concert Grand. The owner was quite meticulous and the home is a designer showplace filled with antiques.  Of course, nothing need be said about this famous model which is in every well-known music school and conservatory.  This piano plays better than it did new as it has received a high performance regulation and voicing.  Most pre-owned Steinway 1098’s that come on the market are usually worn too much to truly be a real value.  It is rare to find one in like new condition as this one and the richness of the tone of this 1098 Studio Upright is superb!  Very Rare Find!!

Yamaha, model P22, 45” Studio Upright/Bench

PIANO: Yamaha, model P22, 45” Studio Upright/Bench, serial # T273660

Finish:     Dark American Oak Finish.

Description:  Yamaha Pianos, made in Japan, are very well designed instruments and present a very good value in today’s market.   This piano was built in the Thomaston, GA. factory in the Fall of 2001.  This piano was purchased new in Houston, TX by a family for their daughter. The daughter used the piano sparingly and yet it was regularly maintained.   This Yamaha piano is built better than its newer Yamaha cousins now manufactured in the factory in Indonesia or China.  Most used Japanese pianos available are ‘grey market’ instruments that are made for the Pacific Rim market and not seasoned for North America.  But this piano is made for North America and its wood is seasoned for our climate – insuring its durability.  Today, all P22 Studio Uprights are made in Indonesia and do not compare in quality.

This is a high performance studio upright that is highly desired due to warm, expressive tone at an unbeatable price!

serial # IJKD00359

Description:  Well known for their furniture models for the American home, Kohler & Campbell was American made and operated its factory in Granite Falls, NC.  After Kohler & Campbell went out of business in the 1985, the company was purchased by Sherman Clay Co. and then by Samick Piano of Korea. This piano, made in Indonesia in.2001 is in incredible condition having had very little use. It was purchased from Artist Pianos, Ltd. in Latham by the original owner in 2001 for their son.  Today, Samick manufactures all Kohler & Campbell pianos in their factory in Indonesia and discontinued North American distribution although it is being sold elsewhere.  This piano features German Röslau strings, Sitka Spruce Soundboard, Hard Rock Maple, Royal George Felt and German Scale Design created by the world famous German designer, Klaus Fenner.  We have completely regulated and voiced this piano in the German manner yielding an uncommonly rich, expressive sound out of such a small grand.  This piano is the epitome of German design, well executed by the current co- owner of Steinway.
